Japanese classroom phrases: ask your teacher anything

The most useful phrases for learning Japanese are the ones that help you learn more Japanese. With these, you can ask any teacher, tutor or friend to explain, repeat or slow down.

  • 〜はにほんごでなんですか = How do you say ~ in Japanese?

Japanese school rituals

In Japanese schools, lessons often start and end with a short ritual led by a student: (stand up), (bow), (sit down). Students also greet the teacher with at the start and at the end.
